Flag Retirement Program

Flag of The United States of AmericaNorthern Indiana Funeral Care offers complete, low cost cremation services to all Indiana veterans. We have started a new program that we want every member of the various veterans service organizations including The American Legion, VFW, Am Vets, and also the staff of VA hospitals and related health care facilities to be aware of. Each veteran who chooses so will be cremated with an American Flag. We believe our veterans and the retired flags we’re given the trust of caring for are given proper respect and offer the most patriotic way of disposition by providing this service. The U.S. Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8 states, “The flag when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”

If you have an American flag that is no longer fit for use, please feel free to deliver it to us at 5800 Fairfield Avenue in Fort Wayne. We will also pick up the flag at your residence or place of business. Naturally we do not charge for this service.

We encourage those who may be comparing funeral homes in the Fort Wayne area to consider our program. It’s designed for the growing number of people looking for simple services at a cheap price, without compromising quality. We are able to deliver this by keeping our overhead low and allowing you to pay only for what you use and not the things you don’t.

If you have any questions about this program or if you would like for us to pick up your flag, please call toll-free at 1-877-382-2756 or email vfccounselor@yahoo.com.
